Adventure fishing was founded in 2004 to offer affordable game fishing tours in Koh Tao. We target top water gamefish such as marlin, sailfish, king mackerel, dolphin and tuna by trolling and livebaiting. Our boat, the "Miss Adventure" is a traditional Thai wooden boat with a large free flow live bait well, and classic Yanmar 16hp inboard diesel engine. GPS and fishfinder on board.
Price for the boat is 5,000baht/day and a maximum of 2 persons. Generally fishing in the morning is far better than in the afternoon so we like to leave at 6.30am and return about 2.30, although we are flexible in the times.
Our standard equipment for this fishing is a Shimano TLD20 spooled with 30lb mono together with a fairly soft 6' boat rod. For extra king mackerel fun we can gear down to a small Penn310 and smaller rod. For mahimahi any light tackle can be used. Small spinning outfits with light braid line have been about the most exciting way to catch these fish.
Above our shop in Maehaad town we have 2 comfortable rooms for rent at 400 and 600 baht/night. Rooms have family size fridge, hot shower, fan and balcony. Expensive room also has TV/DVD. This is just 100 meters from the pier where your fishing day will start. All boat,bus,plane and train tickets are available to any destination. Also sightseeing around island tours and snorkelling trips.
Downstairs is our tackle shop. All kinds and budgets of rods and reels in stock. From tiny shore fishing rod/reel combos from 495baht, up to big game rods with roller guides. Also all lures and terminal tackle in stock.
